Traditional oil changes use  gravity alone to drain the oil from the bottom of the engine.  

We use a vacuum system to extract oil from the top of the engine through the dipstick tube. This method is much stronger and more thorough than gravity.  Our vac system helps to create a cleaner, smoother running engines, by removing sludge and contaminants that gravity would miss.
